The Wedding Guide – Columbus Edition

I was chatting with a friend of mine and told her that I have 7 weddings to attend this year!  You heard that right, 7 weddings! That convo inspired today’s post of my top 5 picks for all things wedding related.  I wish there was some type of  list when I was planning a wedding in Columbus.  It was hard being completely new to the city and trying to find the best of the best (pre-Instagram + other social media channels!)  Hopefully this will make a future bride’s planning just a little bit easier:-)

The Top 5

Cake: If you are looking for a one of a kind couture cake that will stand apart from the rest, look no further than Miam Cake.   These cakes are masterpieces and you definitely won’t be disappointed!  The craftsmanship that goes into each creation is incredible and it really does show!

Hair:  The Bride Bar will give you the perfect coif for your big day.  My absolute favorite stylist is Sarah W, tell her Mrs. Ladylike sent you:-)  The Bride Bar is such a cool concept because it’s dedicated solely to brides and bridesmaids and it’s a one stop shop for hair + makeup.

Dress:  Let Big Rock Bridal Atelier help you find the most beautiful gown from their extensive selection of top notch designers such as Vera Wang, Jenny Packham & Monique Lhullier.  There is no doubt that one of their bridal gowns will help you make THE biggest entrance on your wedding day!

Floral: I’ve gotten to know Amy Music from Posy Floral Studio after collaborating together on a project as well as learning from the pro herself while participating in a holiday floral workshop.  She truly has a gift of creating the most elegant arrangements as evidenced in the floral table runner above!  Rest assured that Amy and her team will work together to make your floral dreams a reality.

Photography: Picking the right photographer is such a crucial decision. You will look back at your photos and only have those memories to go back on, so you want them to be quality.  I am especially drawn to the uniqueness and colors of Chris Bowman Photography.   As I look through his photos, it’s almost as if I can feel the emotion exuding from the picture. Being able to capture that emotion and translate it on film is a true gift.

What do you think of the list?  Any additions that you would add?
