Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and I’m sure you are trying to find the perfect outfit for your special someone. Many of the outfit ideas out there include sexy little dresses with spaghetti straps and beautiful lace slip dresses. I would love to wear a beautiful lace slip dress just as much as the next person, but if you know me, you know that I am ALWAYS cold! This pretty much rules out that spaghetti strap number or any other piece that shows too much skin in the winter.
Covering up doesn’t mean you have to look boring. Get creative and mix up pieces that you wouldn’t normally wear together to constantly keep your winter wardrobe lookin fresh. I tried to do exactly that with today’s look. Who said you can’t wear lace pants with an oversize sweater & fur hat!? I had worn these J.Crew pants with other tops, and always envisioned wearing them with my cream puff of a sweater, but never actually did it. When I finally tried them on together, it worked! Accessories are pretty limited with the sweater because of its bulkiness and also its neckline, but I knew it needed a little something extra. Neck scarves have been my latest obsession and I instantly knew that this was the missing accessory! My favorite Burberry neck scarf is slightly peeking out of my sweater as that missing piece of this glorious winter white puzzle:-) These emerald & gold earrings remind of something Elizabeth Taylor used to wear, so I threw them in for some extra glam. Loubs and fur are never a bad idea, so I think it all works!
What are your plans for Valentine’s Day? ♥
