Today’s post is all about the classics. I am not really one to make New Year’s resolutions, and I know I am probably a little late to the game, since it’s <ahem> February, but I am making an effort to add more classic investment pieces in my wardrobe. I am highlighting a tweed blazer that I recently added to my work wardrobe in this post. I think it’s simple to pair up with denim and a striped shirt just like I have shown above. I had been eyeing this tweed beauty since I saw it on the cover of the J. Crew catalog. Tweed is perfect for winter and the pop of color on the collar is my favorite detail! It looks professional, feminine, and stands out from all of the other basic blazers out there in the workplace.
Classic pieces call for classic accessories-right?! Red d’orsay’s are a must for any ladylike closet! They can instantly amp up denim or be worn with a chic dress. These gold bracelets are pretty much on repeat with all of my outfits. The LOVE bracelet was a gift and it can be found at local boutique, Red Giraffe Designs. The best part about these goldies is that I can layer any other bracelets with them and they still won’t look overdone. With the balmy weather we have been having in Columbus lately, it’s easy to just throw on this blazer & leather moto gloves and be totally comfortable without a coat! I’m sure I won’t be saying that very soon:-) If you are heading to a happy hour right after work, just throw a few things in this classic zip wallet by Kate Spade and you are good to go!
Stay tuned for tomorrow’s big announcement!!
